MS      This step by step guide demonstrates how you can open an account at Southwark to register for vacancies and apply for a job. It will also show you how to change your password or request a reminder of your password.

You can open an account by clicking on the register link from the welcome page. Enter your personal details and email address and then select from the job types listed your preferred job type. You can select more than one by pressing and holding down the control key on your keyboard. In the near future we’ll be using this information to notify you when new positions are advertised that meet these job criteria. Then click on submit.

You’ll be prompted to set a security question. Select the question from the five questions listed in the drop down list. Enter your answer, remembering to exclude any spaces. For example, if your favourite place is Leamington Spa you enter Leamingtonspa with no spaces between the n and s. Click next. Your password is displayed, which will also be emailed to you. You can change your password later to something you can easily remember, and we’ll show you how.

You’ve now successfully registered your account. From here you can edit what we call your speculative application. This is a template for you to complete the majority of our application forms. Information you enter now will be transferred over to any jobs you apply for in the future, saving you time.

Click on and complete each section of the speculative application form. Each section you complete will be marked with a tick. Once completed you can return to the summary page and search for current jobs. From the job search page you can change your password. Enter your old password which would have been sent to your registered email address, then enter your new password details. Remember not to include any spaces. Click on change password.

If you’ve forgotten your password you can request a reminder from the account login page. Enter your registered email address and click on request. A reminder of your password will be emailed to you.

We hope you’ve found this useful. Further guidance on completing the application form itself is also available for you to view.
