We have recently established a Traded Services division. This now positions our Building Services (Repairs and Maintenance), Pest Control Services and Asset Management Services to work in a connective and collaborative way: encouraging synergy, innovation, improved outcomes and a commercial approach.
The Council’s Cabinet has reaffirmed their commitment to deliver an in-house building repairs services to all its 55,000 Council properties. This is extremely positive in that we are now accountable for taking the service forward and to that effect we are committed to developing and implementing an improvement plan.
This secondment opportunity will be responsible for leading an extensive engagement programme with residents and staff with a view to collectively developing this improvement plan and taking the plan to Cabinet for approval and then be responsible for its implementation.
As the successful candidate, you will bring invaluable expertise in programme management as well as experience of delivering significant transformation programmes. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to challenge, communicate, co-ordinate numerous resources and be innovative in your approach.
You will be driven by a passion for your work and a desire to seek opportunities for improvement. You will be an adept manager, a supportive colleague and be able to forge productive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.

This vacancy is for a 1 year Fixed Term Contract. Internal staff would need to gain agreement from your substantive line manager if considering this is as a secondment opportunity.
