Interested in earning whilst you learn in a busy front-line service?

Southwark Council’s Community Support Unit leads on the Council’s resettlement of refugees and on the delivery of the social care services to people with no recourse to public funds.

Reporting to the unit’s Team Manager, this role will provide comprehensive administrative support to the unit.

You’ll help staff the unit’s telephone line, handling calls from residents and other organisations, and support the work of the front-line social workers, case managers and assessors, including carrying out background checks, scanning documents and updating client databases.

You’ll also participate in the Council’s Apprenticeship Programme and will attend a course of study one day a week with a designated college to attain a qualification that meets the requirements of National Occupational Standards in Business Administration at Level 3.
